I recorded my first professional VO at the age of thirteen and have been addicted ever since!
As a trained actor, for many years I used my voice – probably my greatest asset – as one of the tools of my craft to bring characters to life: now, in the recording studio I use it to breathe life into a script.
I have a flexible and versatile voice and have over thirty years of experience behind the mic, as a continuity announcer for ITV, as narrator for over fifty prime-time broadcast documentaries and as the voice of numerous training and business films, social action broadcasts, IVR and telephony systems, commercials and Public Service Broadcasts. I am adept at using varieties in vocal tone, pitch and pace to create exactly the right tone, feel, texture, colour, and ambience for every client, every product and every project, whether recording in my home studio or elsewhere.
As a documentary producer I know the importance of a good script; but in order to truly engage people, words need to be spoken. Choose the right voice to speak them and, like a memory, the impact and the meaning will continue to resonate long after the words have been heard!
